Sexual wellness brand Lovehoney has been embroiled in a long-term conflict with Google and Instagram because stringent search and ad policies hinder its marketing efforts and hide its website. Lovehoney’s head of sexual empowerment Johanna Rief tells The Drum how it is fighting back.
In 2021 Google made changes to its SafeSearch feature that, according to the corporation, “help filter out explicit content in search results.”
Due to this ‘explicit’ restriction, Lovehoney estimates that it has now lost close to 1 million customers. “It is just another example of big tech treating sexuality as something that is sinful,” says Rief, “while allowing other harmful content to slip through the net.”
In June this year, the brand decided to implement its struggle into its marketing message by creating a not-so-subtle billboard that called out the tech giant. ‘Ogle’ saw the recognizable primary colors of the Google search engine alongside the copy: “Turn off SafeSearch to lay eyes on our full range.”
To date, there’s been no response from the tech giant. “They don’t want to be mentioned in an article or be in the same room as sexual wellness brands,” adds Rief.
“We’ve made 600 complaints. We are in contact with the Google ads team, which is really nice, but the policy team doesn’t really want to talk to us.”
With Google being a top search engine, Lovehoney needs to make the arrangement work. It can’t boycott Google, but it needs to generate new traffic sources. “It was a little bit eye-opening for us. There are other search engines, right? They’re not as big as Google, but still relevant.”
Google is more than happy to accept Lovehoney’s ad spend, but it is restricted from retargeted ads. This, at least, Rief understands. Who wants to have sex toy ads show up on their work laptop on a Monday morning?
“We pay the same amount for Google ads, but we get less traffic,” she notes. “We were really sticking to the guidelines they gave us for ads, we said, ‘just tell us what we should do, what keywords we can bid on in order to make sure that we are aligned with the guidelines.’ We only want people on the homepage who are looking for these kinds of products. We’re not bidding on random keywords like toys.”
Generally, the feedback from Google is that the restrictions are in place to ‘protect kids,’ she says. But Rief is quick to point out that “as soon as a kid knows what sex toys are then they should be getting sex education.”
Regardless, for now, third-party sellers offer a lifeline, with the products offered on Amazon, Superdrug and Argos among other retailers. “Marketplaces are important, but even Amazon is a little bit strict when it comes to listing sex toys and where they are displayed,” she says.
“We’ve had our fair share of conversations with Amazon. It’s not super open-minded when it comes to sex toys, but we still sell quite well. And then there’s the affiliate program where they get a lot of money from selling sex toys. But again, it’s not Amazon’s favorite topic of conversation.”
But even social media has its issues. Lovehoney is silenced due to the terms of service. “Social media ads are not possible for us,” adds Rief. “Our followers and community are grown organically, which takes a long time and a lot of effort. We had times where [Instagram and Facebook] blocked our brands – they didn’t delete the channel, but they banned it for a while until we started being loud about it.”
With claims of being ‘shadowbanned,’ Rief says that Lovehoney was accused of violating the guidelines with its ads. She feels that the rules are so broad and that there are “definitely different standards for different topics.”
“It seems that female sexuality, within our society, was always oppressed or used to control women. You are not allowed to have the same sex drive. You are not allowed to have the same amount of sex partners. It was always used to keep women a little bit smaller. It seems that these big companies still have this outdated picture in mind when it comes to female sexuality.”
So when asked what’s next in the battle for a visible sex toy shop on the internet, Rief and co will continue garnering attention to the topic, creating a louder buzz. “Maybe a protest in front of the Google office?” teases Rief.
“I believe that many people working at Google have a way more open mindset than the ones [making the decisions].”

“It linked-up my erogenous zones as the vibrations mapped out various routes to pleasure”
Hands up if you’ve ever heard of a ride-on sex toy? If you haven’t, you’re in for a treat. The Ruby Glow Blush – a sex toy current doing the rounds as a must-try – is a ride-on vibrator dubbed as one of the best sex toys to try ASAP. Keen to know more? Then you’ll have to keep scrolling for my Ruby Glow Blush review.
So how does it work? Well, once removed from its seated dock, it to be used as either an internal or external wand massager – double whammy. Usually, ride-on vibrators are large and bulky, but the Ruby Glow Blush is a petite sex toy best used seated on a chair or pillow (hence the label “ride-on” – as you quite literally ride on it).
Ruby Glow Blush pros:
Rechargeable
Waterproof
Ride-on sex toy
Compact
Can be used externally and internally
Has a G-spot tip
Clitoral and anus stimulating nubs
Remote controlled
Comfortable to straddle
Hands-free option
Three motors
Ruby Glow Blush cons:
Can’t be inserted anally
Can take time to reach orgasm with
Confusing controls
Not very strong
Silicone a bit hard when seated.
Read a sex toy review in the past? Then the chances are you’ve read some of my content before. My name’s Ness Cooper and I’m a sexologist who’s tested hundreds of sex toys over the years. All too often I come across tech claiming to be innovative, yet it lacks oomf (not to mention functionality) in the bedroom.
So, is the Ruby Glow Blush as innovative as it claims? You’ll have to keep reading to find out. Don’t miss my LELO Sila review, LELO Sona Cruise 2 review, and LELO Enigma review, while you’re here.
Ruby Glow Blush review: “The ride-on sex toy offered pleasure I wasn’t expecting.”
Special features and what sets it apart from competitors
So, more about the Ruby Glow Blush. As above, it’s a ride-on sex toy that’s best known for its compact size – normally, ride-on toys are large, costly, and intimidating sex machines.
This makes it somewhat unique – plus, an added bonus the toy boasts is that it can be removed from its charging dock (again, not something other ride-on’s allow). This means it can be used in a myriad of ways – both as a ride on, as an insertable vibrator, and as a G-spot toy.
FYI, normally ride-on’s need multiple attachments, but the Ruby Glow Blush doesn’t require any to be enjoyed in various adventurous ways.
How to use the Ruby Glow Blush and how it was
Onto my Ruby Glow Blush review. After charging both the main wand and remote, I started exploring the toy from the main sex position its designed for – seated. I sat with the toy positioned under my vulva and found each curve rested against its targeted area. As I explored the motors and different setting options. I could feel vibrations travel throughout my vulva, with particular focus on my clitoris, vaginal opening, premium, and anus (although this depended on which motor combination I was on).
I found the standard setting the most enjoyable (the lower vibration setting felt a bit too weak for my taste). The shape surprised me by being so comfortable to sit on, which also helped relieve some of my pelvic tension – occupational hazard.
I tried experimenting with grinding on the sex toy in different ways and the wand vibrator stayed in position even when I was getting carried away. While I didn’t orgasm easily with the Ruby Glow Blush when used as a ride-on, I did enjoy using it and found it a great way to experience hands-free pleasure (a bit like with the Lovehoney Love Egg)
As an insertable G-spot wand, the curved tip hit my G-spot instantly. I was able to use one hand to control the remote, meaning I could focus on rocking the tip over my G-spot and become fully absorbed with the sensations, leading to a pleasing G-spot orgasm. With multiple motors along the shaft of the wand too, I really did like the surround-sound feeling they offered inside my vagina and how I could feel vibrations in my G-spot, vaginal entrance, and even travel through my vaginal walls to my clitoris.
The Ruby Glow Blush sex toy, as pictured by Ness
How to keep it maintains and clean
Even the remote is completely waterproof, meaning you can wash all the parts of the Ruby Glow Blush in warm water and your standard sex toy cleaner.
Once dry, the wand part of toy can be placed back in its docking station ready for the next time you want to take a ride.
About the Ruby Glow brand
Tabitha Rayne is an erotic writer and designer of the Ruby Glow Dusk and Ruby Glow Blush.
All Ruby Glow products are made by Rocks Off which is a UK sex toy manufacturer behind one of the most well-known bullet vibrators, the RO-80mm. Fun fact: the toy has sold over five million globally.
Should I buy it?
It’s the toy for you if you’re after something that offers options, various forms of stimulation, and multiple ways to explore sweet spots and erogenous zones.
The ride-on feature is definitely a winner, even though it can be a slow start on the journey to orgasm.

These days, talk of the metaverse is inescapable. We take work meetings and suck up to our bosses in a virtual boardroom, attend couture fashion shows alongside BFFs, and even belt out “About Damn Time” at Lizzo and Charli XCX concerts in the world of virtual reality. And pretty soon, we might be having sex in it, too. With growing advancements in the world of VR, it’s only natural for people to wonder what might come next. And with the sex industry and sex in general making a large shift to virtual spaces during the pandemic (hello the re-emergence of phone sex and the rise of OnlyFans!), it makes sense that sex and intimacy would be the next step. But what does sex and intimacy in the metaverse actually look like? If you’re surprised to hear that sex is going digital, you shouldn’t be. People have been using virtual spaces for the purpose of sex and intimacy since pretty much the internet started. Who doesn’t remember the thrill of messaging your boyfriend semi-naughty things over MSN Messenger? A decade earlier, popular games like Second Life allowed users to engage in intimate and romantic acts in chat rooms. The reasons why someone seeks intimacy have remained the same, but for some, the prelude has changed from dinner and a movie to logging in from your living room. Online spaces, like the metaverse, allow people a potentially safer space to explore desires, fantasies, kinks, fetishes, and things that they don’t feel comfortable or are unable to pursue in their physical lives. A digital space can also be a place for people with less physical mobility or who don’t have the ability to experience certain types of pleasure IRL. But overall the metaverse is an open playground for anyone. “I want to dispel the myth that folks that would participate in sex or intimate relationships virtually are only people who can’t get it in real life,” says sex and consent educator Samantha Bitty. “The truth is that there are so many different reasons for people to engage in intimate relationships virtually.”
So how does sex in the metaverse actually look, and more importantly, feel? Well, it kind of depends. Just like sex IRL is varied and diverse, so too are sexual experiences in virtual reality. The multi-sensory part of VR means that four of your senses are engaged within the online space, providing users with, “a combination of audio, visual, tactile (haptic), and even olfactory stimulus that lends to a more robust sense of immersion in the digital world,” says Brian Sanchez, lead character artist at RD Land, which specialises in creating safe spaces for cybersex, alongside other VR experiences. Currently in beta, the platform allows gamers to use devices like vests, gloves, and adult toys to engage these senses. Companies like RD Land are hoping to push these boundaries of how users perceive the world around them, by subverting the way their senses react. For example, instead of just playing The Weeknd’s latest album to get you in the mood, you could be in a virtual room where your device will vibrate differently to the beats of horny Drake or upbeat Lizzo and give different sensations. “In our worlds, every sensation can bring pleasure if the user so desires and so allows,” Sanchez says. Viro Playspace is also testing the waters. Similar to RD Land, the sex-positive company allows users to fully immerse themselves in different scenarios and engage with digital avatars for pleasure. You can have a one-on-one session with Emy, a vampire from Siberia who needs to consume blood to live, or experience Scalie Seduction, which brings gamers face-to-face with a “smokin’ hot dragon babe.” Other interactions include a sexual encounter underneath a waterfall while out for a hike (no fear of ticks or being caught by other hikers, included), and being dominated by an avatar who “puts the suck in succubus.” (Yes, we’re serious). Unlike RD Land, Viro Playspace is completely focused on fantasy, and produces and sells Bluetooth-enabled adult toys so users can actually physically feel what’s happening to them virtually, like clitoral stimulation, in real life — all while watching it on screen.
“Technology has evolved faster than our ethics around sex and relationships in those spaces.”
SAMANTHA BITTY
Sex in VR is taking the next step of what’s already happening in the sex toy industry (like Bluetooth devices), but doing it in a much more immersive (and arguably) more pleasurable way. “If you look at certain sex toy companies, they have apps where someone could be in Australia on an app and you could be in Canada and they can operate your vibrator or your app and be in possession of the stimulation and the pleasure that you feel,” Bitty says. “So how is that different from if someone was hooked up to a virtual reality?” In his book, The Metaverse: And How It Will Revolutionise Everything, author Matthew Ball theorises what sex could look like with ongoing developments in the metaverse, pointing to the development of haptic bodysuits and vests, which allow you to feel virtual environments and stimulate your sense of touch, like feeling rain on your skin or a massage on your shoulder (or… another part of your body). Suits like the Teslasuit, which uses muscle stimulation to simulate real feelings and sensations on your body, currently run for around $20,000, meaning that not many people, aside from maybe millionaires, will be running to get them. But we’re at just the beginning of a burgeoning industry, and gadgets that help you feel the sensory resistance of drawing a bow and arrow in games like In Death: Unchained could also in theory be used for other sensory experiences. Specifically, Ball points to the development of CTRL-labs, an armband device that records electrical activity from skeletal muscles and can pick up the smallest of hand gestures — like pointing one finger or beckoning someone — and reproduce it in a virtual world. Although it’s a device that’s most often used for something like a virtual concert, the idea is that it could be used for more sexual or intimate activities. Instead of people throwing hands in the air at a virtual concert, in theory virtual hands could be on you. The opportunities and pleasure are endless. Of course, as with anything, there are challenges and drawbacks. There are concerns about safety around unwanted encounters, and some see the metaverse as potential grounds for predators. And we can’t blame them. In May of this year, a report was released detailing several accounts of sexual assault and harassment in the metaverse. But “our outside world is [already] a predatory space.” Bitty says. The real issue surrounding sex in virtual spaces, she says, has more to do with us as people — and the mentality around virtual intimacy — than the actual technology itself. “Technology has evolved faster than our ethics around sex and relationships in those spaces.” We’re still waiting for people to stop taking liberties online, like touching people without their consent or using slurs that they’d never utter in person. “Like with any other kind of sex, we have to treat it with the same ethics and values that we would in our in-person relationships,” she says. “So coming to it with authenticity, empathy, and those sorts of things is really important.”
How we get there — and whether or not we get there — remains to be seen. Experts differ on whether or not the metaverse is officially and actually “here.” Like with anything new, the OG internet, TikTok, or even Instagram, it’ll take time to work out the kinks and figure out what works best for users. But virtual intimacy — and the platforms that help users find it — can be vital. Sanchez points to one user who is in a wheelchair and disclosed that sexual intimacy was something they were unable to find or access regularly. “Yet in our [digital] worlds, they could find that type of much needed and humanly vital intimacy without judgment and without any perception of body or gender,” he says. And that’s a big deal. “Our real-world bodies don’t matter,” he adds. “We can choose how we are represented. We can choose a body that feels better to us or allows us to feel in different ways, and have a safe space where we can consentingly engage in exploration around our digital identities.”

Everybody’s talking about it and everybody’s doing it, or at least that’s how it looks, and not just in the West.
Gone are the days of not kissing on the first date and saving sex until marriage. We are now living in a day and age where we find ourselves in a fast-paced society, where absolutely anything goes.
Less thought goes into the consequences of one’s actions, instead there is the mind-set that so long as you’re not hurting anyone you should be able to do what makes you happy.
The problem with this thought process is when you cross the line of doing what makes you happy but at the indirect expense of someone else’s happiness. So, what do I mean by that?
On a broad scale, quite simply I’m referring to prostitution. When a man purchases the sexual services of another, he’s fulfilled and happy, but the same realistically cannot be said for the prostitute.
Having personally visited the Red Light District in parts of Asia and engaged in conversation with foreign men in the Philippines, there are some deluded individuals who think they are helping the women.
They have honestly convinced themselves that exchanging sex for money puts food on the table and a roof over these prostitutes heads, which in a way it does, but whilst also putting them at risk of contracting STDs or becoming pregnant. Instead a more appropriate alternative would be a no-strings attached financial gift, payment towards an education etc.
From my experience, having worked with victims and survivors of the sex industry, they do not choose to be there. In fact, they are often there because of a lack of choice.
These men and women are talented actors and actresses in my opinion who have no choice but to lie so that the customer can get the full experience.
But is it really an experience? When we use a term like customer this makes it sound more transactional, that the man is purchasing a service or product. The reality however, cannot be shrouded in pretty terms because prostitution is not a job. Prostitution is paid rape and the customer is a rapist.
It is evident to those at least in the anti-trafficking world that society is normalising sex on screen and not just in movies, but also through social media platforms.
NCOSE
Having volunteered with NCOSE at their D.C. headquarters and also at their Global Summit, I listened to academics and scholars talk about the harmful effects of pornography consumption. This is notwithstanding the fact that pornography is often not a victimless crime particularly when we think about child pornography and human trafficking. It’s all about supply, demand and content.
Watching porn on social media is a past time
The common misconception is that adult film stars love for sex is what entices them into the pornography industry. The reality is much less sexy, because the likelihood is that they were victimised sexually at some point in their life, often during their childhood.
Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) refers to any traumatic experience in a person’s childhood such as abuse. Statistics in the U.S. reveal that at least one in three females have experienced sexual abuse at some time in their lives.
The effect of repeated childhood sexual abuse can sometimes leave the individual believing that their value is in giving their body sexually, and when we relate this to their existence in the sex industry it is often viewed by them as empowerment because what was taken for free now has a price tag attached. Such men and women are victims.
Pornography is destructive to participants and viewers alike. Men and boys are struggling to relate to females sexually because of their inability to separate pornography from reality, and their desire to emulate what they see on the screen.
Videos are becoming increasingly more degrading in nature where the women are hit, strangled, raped and spat on.
Consumers want each new video to push the bar, where their wildest fantasies are portrayed on screen. It is not all an act however, because when the female is being suffocated, she is crying real tears and is not enjoying herself. When the cameras stop rolling some of these women have reported having STDs, and not in their genitals but in their eyes. This makes you wonder if this really just the hazard of the job?
Some are addicted to sexual enhancing drugs
Marriages have been destroyed because of a husband’s pornography addiction. Not only because of unreasonable sexual expectations, a lack of sexual interest in their spouse, but also the financial impact.
This, however, is not just a male problem because women and girls are also consuming pornography, some of whom want to emulate what they see by being raped by their boyfriend. It has even been reported as a problem that exists in the church with some pastors struggling with this addiction. Clearly, no one is immune from the grip of pornography once they become entangled.
The youth are getting addicted to porn on social media
Even more worrying are studies that have revealed boys as young as 10 are addicted to pornography. They likely stumbled upon it innocently but developed an appetite for it which eventually spiraled out of control.
One of the major problems that arise with excessive pornography consumption is that it can lead to erectile-dysfunction.
Help
Now, help is available and not in the shape of a pill. However, it starts with acknowledging that you have a problem, sincerely wanting to change and taking the practical steps towards freedom. It serves no purpose being in denial about the extent of the problem, nor is there any reason to be ashamed.
Pornography is known to be debilitating. Pornography addiction is a real problem. One great resource is Covenant Eyes that monitors your activity and sends a report to someone you are accountable too, it also has a feature to block pornography and inappropriate search results.
There are also other apps that can help you get back control of your life. You may also want to consider getting counselling to help you work through your addiction and any past trauma.
One final word of advice, don’t be hard on yourself if you slip up. You’re human so that is to be expected, instead, take each day as it comes and focus on your successes.

Swedish firm shelves London listing plan amid buyer interest
Market for sex toys forecast to grow to $62 billion by 2030
LELO, the Swedish sex-toy designer, is exploring a sale after the industry experienced a boom during the coronavirus lockdowns, according to people familiar with the matter.
The firm, part owned by Chinese buyout firm Trustar Capital, has attracted takeover interest from corporate suitors as well as private equity funds, said the people, who asked not to be identified because discussions are private.
Stockholm-based LELO has shelved plans for a London initial public offering after market volatility caused new stock offerings to dry up, the people said. LELO was seeking a valuation of more than £1 billion ($1.3 billion) in the proposed IPO, Bloomberg News reported last September.
Deliberations are ongoing, and there’s no certainty they will result in a sale, the people said. Representatives for LELO and Trustar declined to comment.
The global sexual wellbeing market is forecast to double to more than $62.3 billion in revenue by 2030, helped by the declining stigmas around the products, according to Grand View Research. Beyond LELO, big players in the market include Reckitt Benckiser Group Plc, which makes Durex condoms, as well as Trojan owner Church & Dwight Co. and Doc Johnson Enterprises.
The potential sale comes amid a pickup in deals in the industry. Lovehoney, the British retailer of Fifty Shades of Grey-themed erotic accessories, agreed to merge with German rival WOW Tech Group in 2021 to create a 1 billion-euro ($1.1 billion) company.
LELO makes sex toys for women and men including the Inez, a £10,000 gold-plated vibrator that’s among the most expensive on the market, as well as condoms. The brand was started in the front room of a Stockholm townhouse by three industrial designers in 2003. It now has offices in California, Australia and China and sells its LELO and PicoBong-branded products in more than 160 markets, according to its website.
The Silicon Valley Business Journal in 2014 said LELO aspires to be the Apple Inc. of the pleasure products industry, citing design-driven products and technologies with high-end prices.

Sex toy brands are reinventing their product lines to respond to environmental issues, now offering their premium products in greener, recyclable and sometimes even biodegradable materials
Fans of intimate accessories, be aware that the vibrating yellow plastic duck is quickly becoming a thing of the past. Sex toy brands are reinventing their product lines to respond to environmental issues, now offering their premium products in greener, recyclable and sometimes even biodegradable materials. In the lead up to World Environment Day on June 5, why not choose a more natural accessory for helping you reach the height of pleasure?
Doing something good for yourself can be seen as a positive action, but it can be even better if you do it in an environmentally friendly way. Like many industries, including fashion and cosmetics, sex toys are rethinking their production models in order to reduce their impact on the environment. Because, until now, erotic toys have been largely made of plastic and silicone, and components have even included phthalates—those polluting materials and chemical compounds that can, on top of it all, be sources of allergies and other irritations. And that’s before we even talk about the batteries that need to be replaced regularly—or not—depending on the use of the toy.

Just like anything in a relationship, it can be hard to decide on something that satisfies both parties — especially if you’re trying to decide which sex toy you should use together in the bedroom. From vibrators to sex dice, handcuffs to wedge pillows, there’s no shortage of tools you can use to enhance both your and your partner’s pleasure. But, because there are so many options, it’s hard to even know what could be best for you and yours.
We talked with Jess O’Reilly, Ph.D., Lovehoney sexologist and relationship expert, to find out what works best when you want to incorporate a toy during sex that both of you can enjoy. While she agrees that toys spice things up physically, talking about what toys you and your partner may enjoy also creates an open dialogue between the two of you. “It can be a reminder to slip out of your roles as co-parents or roommates and slip into your roles as lovers,” she says.
Even if you’ve been with your partner for years, discussing and exploring the use of sex toys can bring you closer together, physically and emotionally. If you find you experience pain with penetration (either as a symptom of menopause or in general), toys are also a way to gain pleasure without penetration while still remaining close to your partner. Some couples find sex post-menopause can be more enjoyable.
“Lifestyle shifts that tend to coincide with post-menopausal years (e.g. kids spending more time away from home, greater financial stability that results in less overall stress) can also lead to more exploration in (and out of) the bedroom,” Dr. O’Reilly says. “Many of my clients have discovered sex toys in their 50s and 60s, as they’ve had more time to dedicate to their intimate relationships and greater confidence expressing their desires to partners.”
If you’re ready to explore the use of toys with your partner but don’t know where to start, don’t worry. Here are some expert-approved sex toys for couples.
Best Sex Toys for Couples
Maude Essentials Kit
maude
There’s nothing quite like an all-in-one kit, especially when it leads to a fun night in bed. This set from KCM favorite Maude comes with a bullet-style vibrator, organic lubricant, and condoms, so you and your partner are prepared and protected. Plus, all elements can be used on their own, which only extends the possibilities.
Dame Hands-Free Bundle
Having to find a position to hold a vibrator between yourself and your partner can be annoying, especially if you find your hands get in the way. This uniquely shaped toy from Dame uses two silicone arms to hold itself in place, gently hugging the labia so that the vibrator remains in place for clitoral stimulation. In addition, this set comes with the vibrator and a wedge pillow, which helps you reach new angles and positions with ease.
Lovehoney Romp Juke Rechargable Cock Ring
“I love any toy you can easily add into your sexual routine without changing a thing,” Dr. O’Reilly says. “If you’re having sex with a penis, a simple vibrating ring is a great option. If you’re brand new to sex toys, consider the Romp Juke. It offers rumbly vibrations for both partners and its angles allow you to play in any position.”
OhNut Buffer Rings
Some experience pain with penetration only after a certain point, which is why adding a buffer can be beneficial. These silicone rings sit toward the base of the penis to shorten the length that can be used for penetration. You can use as few or as many rings as you and your partner would like, adjusting as necessary. They’re made from a super stretchy silicone material, so they won’t cut off circulation or feel uncomfortable for the wearer either. These can also be used on toys to shorten the penetration length, too.
We-Vibe Chorus
Feeling like incorporating a high-tech toy into your routine? “Toys specifically designed for couples, like the We-Vibe Chorus are perfect because they offer stimulation for both you and your partner,” Dr. O’Reilly says. “It can provide G-Spot, clitoris, and shaft stimulation. The Chorus is also adjustable, features touch-sensitive receptors, and offers custom vibrations through the We-Vibe app.”
Arcwave Voy
If your partner has a penis, using something like the Arcwave can not only introduce them to new sensations, but it’s great for those who experience pain with friction or squeezing sensations. “It can help you to learn to enjoy pleasure beyond the stroking or in-and-out motion,” Dr. O’Reilly says. It’s a cylinder-shaped toy that wraps around the penis seamlessly, applying constant, even pressure all over. It can be rotated, used in a stroking motion, or both at the same time for intense sensations.
Unbound G Spot Basics Bundle
Two is better than one, especially when you save some cash in the process. This bendy vibrator from Unbound has a thin profile that can easily fit between you and your partner during sex, and it’s also long enough for your partner to hold against you depending on what position you’re in. It comes with a tube of lubricant, too. Unbound is also offering a free Magic Babe Ball (think of it as the Magic 8 Ball of sex) with purchases over $5 with the code HAVEABALL. You and your partner can shake it for fun, sexy prompts to complete together.
Le Wand Petite Massager
If you’re looking for a powerful toy that will last you a lifetime, this classic wand vibrator will do the trick. This one is a little smaller than the original model, but it has a long handle so you can easily grip it and control where the silicone head goes. The broad end sends vibrations to a larger surface area, making it a great choice for foreplay or for those who don’t enjoy direct clitoral stimulation.
Womanizer Premium 2
Instead of vibrations, the Womanizer toys stimulate the area around the clitoris with pulsating air. “They provide indirect stimulation around the head of the clitoris externally and you can adjust the intensity levels from the sensual to the powerful according to your liking,” Dr. O’Reilly says. This is great for those who also experience discomfort with penetration, as all the stimulation is external.
Crave Vesper Vibrator Necklace
This is a toy you can hide in plain sight. Designed as a necklace, this bullet-style vibrator is an elegant, yet powerful, accessory. Made for external stimulation only, this sleek metal vibrator can deliver intense and targeted vibrations wherever you or your partner would like. You could wear it out on date night while thinking about all the ways you can use it later, creating a sense of anticipation for you and your partner.
Lelo Tiani 3
Hands-free toys are amazing if you don’t want to be distracted by moving around or holding something while you and a partner are having sex. This toy by Lelo can be used as an internal and external vibrator during foreplay, but it can also be worn during penetrative sex. A small arm can be inserted into the vagina, holding the vibrating part over the clitoris and delivering vibrations to both areas. If your partner has a penis, they’ll feel the vibrations while entering you, too. Consider it double the fun.

Erika Lust wanted her staff to practice self care so launched daily masturbation breaks, giving her valued employees 30 minutes to themselves, and now she’s spiced up the policy a bit more
A boss has been praised for letting her staff take half an hour masturbation breaking during their working day.
Porn director Erika Lust, who has won awards for her erotic films, launched the new self-love policy last year with the aim of making her staff more relaxed.
She’s now shared an update, saying that after successfully running the policy for a year she is now offering free sex toys to her workers as a “special work perk”.
She said she allowed workers to take the breaks because she “values her employees” and credits it to increased productivity and “less aggression” in the workplace.
Erika encourages 30-minute masturbation breaks
What do you think about Erika’s management style? Let us know in the comments…
Taking to Instagram, Erika wrote: “Remember I started to give my staff a daily 30-minute masturbation break last May? This year, we’ve decided to revamp our special work perk with the help of my friends from Fun Factory and their cheeky toys.
”Will you join us? Go to my link in bio to learn more and maybe you’ll find a sexy discount for yourself on the way. “
She included the hashtags #masturbationmonth, #funfactory, #erikalustfilms, #erikalust, and #lustzine.
Erika has also released a mini-documentary on her YouTube channel, where she asked how often people manage to find some alone time, as the Daily Star reports.
A lot of the responses suggested that the amount will vary depending on stress levels, with some even acknowledging that the recent changes in working environments had impacted upon their habits.
“On a daily average we’re talking four times a day, maybe. I work from home if that is an excuse,” one woman laughed.
But, while many admitted that some time alone helped them to de-stress, one respondent admitted swearing himself off the practice because it was making him unproductive.
Erika said it makes her staff more relaxed
“I thought I had a masturbation addiction at some point, so I started masturbating less. And I talked with my friend about it, and we discovered that if I masturbate more, you relax, you work less and you’re not that effective. So at some point I think I went without masturbation for two months.
For others, it was a seasonal decision, with one polyamorous woman admitting: “There is no pattern, it depends on my mood or my level of stress or how often I see my couple, but definitely I masturbate more often during the summer.”
As well as revealing their habits, the documentary’s participants also shared some interesting anecdotes about times they had nearly been caught doing the deed.
One woman even revealed that she had gotten away with masturbating on a bus trip, aided by the cover of a blanket.
And, addressing why she had decided to produce the documentary, Erika explained that she hoped to normalise conversations about sex.
“I realised that most parents are not really talking to their kids about masturbation; most parents are not even talking about sex,” she said.
The porn director described how she had adopted the approach with her own daughters, stressing that she didn’t want them to feel “shame” about self-pleasure.

The best sex toys on Amazon to shop now:
1. LELO SONA Sonic Massager
“This toy is designed for external stimulation (mainly the clitoris), but what I love about these kinds of toys is that they can be playfully used on any erogenous zone on the body which opens up limitless pleasure portals. Things I especially like about this toy is that it’s waterproof for bath and shower play, it’s not too clunky and the ergonomically sleek design means it fits really nicely on parts of the body. If using in partner play its slips nicely on the body and in between legs too.”
“It has a lovely diversity of pleasure wave settings so you can explore the sensation and vibration intensity that suits you. I find some toys can be really intense on their low settings but this offers a full spectrum with the lower settings mildly pleasing so there’s a nice variety to navigate with whilst travelling on your own pleasure journey.” Jordan Dixon
2. Satisfyer Little Secret Panty Vibrator
“The Little Secret is a big mood! This discreet clitoral vibe magnetically clips into your underwear for solo or partnered play via the remote or the Satisfyer app which allows you or your partner to control it from anywhere in the world with endless customisable settings. It’s one of the quietest toys I’ve tried, and it’s accessible and powerful without being overpowering.” Scotty Unfamous

3. Tracy’s Dog OG Pro 2
“What I love about this toy is that it’s a combination of my two favourite kinds of toys. We have the air suction technology that can be used on the clitoris as well as the external stimulator that vibrates. The internal part has ten different pulses and vibrations and you can have sucking and pulsing simultaneously. It’s super soft and lovely on the body…I napped hard after reviewing this.” Jordan Dixon
“This dual stimulation toy is viral cult-favourite and with good reason. The Tracy’s Dog OG Pro 2 is the upgraded version of their original viral design; the powerful clitoral suction toy with an internal g-spot stimulator now comes with a remote control for a handsfree blended orgasm that will have you gripping your bedsheets. It’s a staple piece for your collection, beginner friendly and great for people of all abilities, that you will reach for over and over again.” Scotty Unfamous
4. Lovehoney Mantric Pink Pebble Vibrator
“This Lovehoney vibrator is interestingly different to other toys. It’s made for external stimulation, it’s waterproof and the unique shape means it’s quite discreet as a sex toy for those who are worried about it being found. What I especially like about this toy is that it’s not really made for a specific kind of stimulation, which invites true creativity when it comes to pleasure. Its a great toy for grinding upon and can be a fun addition to self or partnered pleasured resources.” Jordan Dixon

“This toy gave me a multiple orgasm. LELO generally make amazing toys, so if you have the budget to splurge on a quality piece of erotic equipment, the SORAYA Wave is worth every penny.”
“This luxury rabbit vibe has the most unique clitoral stimulator settings I have ever experienced (it does a fantastic sporadic twirl), paired with a sensual ‘come hither’ g-spot stimulator that strokes you to a powerful blended orgasm. Also, it’s very aesthetically pleasing. This toy is in my top ten vibes of all time. I HIGHLY recommend it for intermediate to advanced toy users.” Scotty Unfamous
6. Lovehoney Finger Vibrator
“This is super cute. It’s made for internal stimulation however you can use it to stimulate wherever you want, there are no rules . I like this toy as it tries to target internal spots in the vaginal canal to stimulate certain spots. The toy’s curved shape means it can self hook and allows you to create traction in the vaginal canal to stimulate spots that you would otherwise use fingers for.”
“It’s not a floppy toy either, there’s a bit of resistance and it stays in place as you start to place pressure which intensifies the sensation. It’s also waterproof and great for water play.” Jordan Dixon
So, there you have it. These are the best sex toys on Amazon, which one will you be trying?

The health and wellbeing retailer recently launched a range of vibrators replicating bananas, egg plants, carrots, corn on the cob and even a chilli.
The unique vegan-friendly toys have been an instant hit amongst vegans and cost £16.95 each.
Their Chill Pepper Bullet Vibrator has been described as: “Suitable for vegans.
“Waterproof for shower and bath play. Body-safe food-grade silicone.
“Let’s bring some heat to your sexual health…
“Curved at the tip and powered with seven settings this chilli will hit all the right places and meet your sexual needs.”
A yellow realistic corn on the cob has been described as: “Designed with ridges and edges, the corn gives you a new healthy experience of pleasure.
“Small and discrete so you never have to go without your new friend!”
And another one reads: “Go bananas!!! Get one of your five a day with our new banana vibrator.”
Happy customers have been raving about them online and on the retailer’s review section, with one buyer saying they had the best experience of their life.
One person, known as Belinda, said: “I purchased this spicy little number a few days ago and I have not been disappointed.

“As a vegan, I applaud Holland and Barrett for finally bringing this range to the market.
“I’m off to have another go now.”
Another review read: “Powerful little bullet, lasted ages on one battery and is not as noisy as other makes, which is a real bonus.”

Another shopper commented: ”I wasn’t sure what to expect. But this had me shuddering with excitement.
“Certainly brings a new meaning to dangling a carrot. The settings are clear, but I’m not sure if the eggplant would have been better.
